Pleased to have gained listed building consent for the new retrofit Social Space project at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)’s Keppel Street campus. The multi-use flexible space will provide a wide variety of unique and much needed spaces for informal learning and socialising, refreshment, informal catch-ups, and campus town hall meetings/ events to improve wellbeing, the student/staff experience and shared knowledge. The project supports delivering LSHTM’s ‘Accelerating towards Net Zero’ objectives through SKA, and creates a much-needed social heart space through the careful use of materials, natural and artificial lighting, colour, acoustics and biophilia whilst protecting and celebrating the historic fabric.
