Have you got a name for your bike?
Let’s call her Ray.
Why did you start cycling to work?
It’s been my mode of transport for years! It’s nice to be outside in the morning, it’s much cheaper & it’s good exercise. Much more pleasant than the tube!
How far do you commute?
8km, or 30 minutes cycle, from where I live in Hackney to Exton Street.

What’s the best and worst thing about cycling to work?
Crossing the river every day over London Bridge is always great, and I enjoy being able to change my route to work on a whim and do a bit of exploring on the way, but on some days I can taste the pollution in the air down Bishopsgate…. It does not taste good. The weather? I love the rain!
How long have you had your bike?
Ray has been with me for about a year after I built her from ebay parts for a ride through Romania and Bulgaria last year….

What’s your favourite bike accessory?
My Minirig!
Where do you most like to cycle?
Well this year I’m cycling 1200km through Croatia, Montenegro, Albania & Greece to raise money for Help Refugees…. I’ve never cycled in any of those countries, but Albania looks particularly stunning! To date, personal cycling highlight has to be cycling through the Italian lakes…. Lago di Garda!
