Friday 26 June: Tour de Lard depart for the French alps. A group of adventurous and slightly mad Englishmen set off this morning for a 1600 mile round trip to the French alps in order to raise funds for Jubilee House Care Trust.
Their chosen transport comprised 3 rather elderly Reliant Robin three wheelers together with 2 motorcycle outfits, powered by Norton and Royal Enfield.
RT director Steve Stokes, also chair of Jubilee House, joined the many well-wishers, press and local girl Vicky Butler Henderson for the early morning wave off at the Moon and Stars pub near Buntingford.
Jubilee House Care Trust provides care and support for children and adults with learning disabilities.
