Harcourt Hill Campus
Oxford Brookes University
Rock Townsend were appointed in 2015 to Oxford Brookes University’s Architectural Consultancy Framework for a period of 6 years.
One of the projects under this Framework included a masterplan for the reorganisation of the Harcourt Hill Campus.
The overall masterplan involves the transformation and major upgrade of facilities to provide specialist teaching and learning provision, the enhancement of existing sports facilities and provision of a new Sports Hall, Dance studio and Fitness Suite. At the centre of the campus is a new library, resource and teaching building, with social learning space and a new café.
The masterplan enhances the unique rural location of the Campus by using the buildings to connect students to the surrounding landscape. Highly sustainable, light filled buildings and views across Oxford and the surrounding countryside will promote wellbeing amongst both students and staff.
