Staff Rides #4
Have you got a name for your bike? Erm. I don’t think it has one. Not yet anyway.
Why did you start riding to work?
I got the bike at the end of 2012 so I’ve not had it long. I sold my car after moving into central London so it made sense to pick up a motorcycle project to satisfy my thirst for mechanics as I have a habit of taking things to pieces. Being from the seventies the bike has kept me pretty busy since I got it.
Whats the best and worst thing about riding to work?
The best thing is riding over Blackfriars bridge and taking in the view of London from the river. I love working where we do and that part of the journey is an absolute treat. The worst has to be riding in the rain but I try to avoid that as much as possible.
Whats your favourite bike accessory?
I’m not sure. The bike evolves constantly. A friend recently showed a purist a photo of the bike who returned the comment ‘not original.’ I think for me that’s one of the absolute joys of owning a classic motorcycle. It’s been through a fair few owners… it has a history and with that comes a character. This bike has character.
Where do you most like to ride?
The same as on my pushbike really, Richmond Park. Although I recently rode down to Brighton which was a lot of fun.
Tim's new found fame ...
RT hit Cornwall ...
This post has been a bit late coming but a few weeks ago the RT Part 1's and 2's took a jolly down to Cornwall to director Alistair Hay's studio in the idyllic countryside near Padstow. It was the perfect place for the team to get there heads down and even make time for a surf at the stunning Fistral beach. Hay Studio has been used by the likes of London Fashion Week and Dawn French, check out their website ... http://www.haystudiocornwall.co.uk/
Cake Monday
Lady GaGa once said 'The sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be.'
I have literally no idea what that means but here at Rocktownsend Monday afternoons are for cake. This week was Richard Sharps turn and he did not disappoint.
the old guys are still born to run...
With Springsteen ringing in the ears from Tuesday nights Cardiff concert, 'The Boss' set to making a model of a new hillside house... ah, complete with 'flying' swimming pool and tree house... the client liked it! Next stop pre-app. Hopefully everyone went to Tuesday's concert... ..we'd go down to the river And into the river we'd dive oh down to the river...
