First pictures of the exciting new Learning Platform at the Univerity of Westminster's Marylebone Campus.
At the heart of the campus, the Learning Platform is an enclosed space for students to study, work and socialise all year round. It offers a vibrant environment where staff and students can interact more informally and build their professional networks.
The Learning Platform has been created by placing a roof over the previously outdoor podium area. It has been completely remodelled and the new layout contains contemporary furnishings.
Rock Townsend's St Michael's Primary School project in Enfield
Lastest picture of Rock Townsend's project at St Michael's Primary School in Enfield, for the London Diocesan Board for Schools; delivering a new two storey teaching block located behind the existing building to allow the school to be expanded from one to two forms of entry. Associated external works include the re-grading and landscaping of the currently sloping grass pitch and the upgrading the vehicular access. Additionally, the existing school building is undergoing minor works including a new reception area at its entrance and a new window opening to bring natural light into the school hall. Works are due to complete in February 2013.
Isimsiz Piano Trio lunchtime recital
Many thanks to our neighbours at 1901 Arts Club. Members of the studio were delighted to attend Philharmonia Orchestra's lunchtime recital by the Isimsiz PianoTrio this week. The performers for the recitals are hand-selected from the 2012 Martin Musical Scholarship Fund award winners, who represent the cream of today's young performers. Rainford High Technology College milestone
Rock Townsend are pleased to confirm handover of the East Block at Rainford High Technology College in St Helens.
The refurbished East Block will house English, Modern Foreign Languages, RE, History and Business as part of the £28m campus redevelopment delivered by Interserve and Environments for Learning in partnership with the Local Authority for the St Helens BSF programme. The project has been designed by Rock Townsend as part of our Mentor partnership and was one of the sample schemes for the BSF bid. Main building works are due to complete in May 2013.
St Mary’s Primary School project Planning Application submitted
Rock Townsend have submitted a detailed Planning Application for a £2.2m extension project at St Mary’s Primary School in Burton Latimer, located just south of Kettering, Northamptonshire.
The school requires space to support the move from 1 to 2 Form Entry School. Rock Townsend have designed a two storey extension which will be connected via a link corridor to the existing school and delivers 8 new classrooms, 2 reception rooms, 2 group workspaces and a host of additional internal and external amenities.
