Sensing Spaces ...
Peabody Exhibition ...
Yesterday lunch time a few of us had a little jaunt down to The Building Centre on Store Street to have a look at the Peaboady's Small Project Panel Architectural Competition. The exhibition includes the 20 shortlisted small housing schemes. It's only a small exhibition but worth a look. The AJ exhibition for the tiled water disposing kiosk has also just opened there.
Upside Down House ...
The team went to have a look at artist Alex Chinneck's latest piece this lunch time. The work, name 'Miner on the Moon' appears to be an upside down house in amongst a row of existing buildings. The building is set for demolish due to the '20 Blackfriars' devolpment, so the piece of art is only temporary.
Alex Chinneck said of his work to London SE1 : "By doing something very simple like re-presenting the everyday world but inverted, it hopefully encourages people to look again and cherish the world around us," the artist told the London SE1 website.

Bob Bikes to Bruges
For this years summer holiday Charlotte.T was taken to Bruges by her trusty 37 year old steed, Bob. She cycled 250 miles to the beautiful Beligan city and back. She now claims this is the peak of her cycling career and will stick to her normal commuter route from now on! Well done Bob, not a single puncture!
Back to basics
Garlic Gathering
Today saw the removal of the Wayward Plants allotments from the Southbank, so the RT troops when down for the final harvest and came back with some garlic, celery, chives, lavender and mint. Delicious!
Unfortunately that signals the end of the summer, so I think it's time for a new project to keep the team entertained ....
